City Budget Hearing at Lincoln High, This Monday Evening

Councilman Henon invites you to a neighborhood budget hearing at Lincoln High School’s auditorium, 3201 Ryan Ave. Monday, April 29, at 6:30 pm.

Homeowners: Have You Applied for the Homestead Exemption Yet?

A Message from City Councilman Bobby Henon:

City records indicate thousands of eligible homeowners have not yet applied for the Homestead Exemption. The Homestead Exemption offers Real Estate Tax savings to all Philadelphia homeowners by reducing the taxable portion of their property assessment by $30,000 (exemption amount may be subject to change), starting in Tax Year 2014. The deadline to apply is July 31, 2013.

Various Christmas Items

1.) The Knights of Columbus at St.Leo ( Tulip and Unruh streets 19135) will be making baskets for families in need 12/8 and 12/9 in the morning. Volunteers needed

2.) St.Leo's Christmas Chinese Auction and Games of Chance will be this Saturday the 8th from 6-7 on Saturday Night and 9-1 on Sunday. Volunteers needed

3.) St.Leo's will host a viewing of White Christmas on 12/12 at 1PM. This is a free event- refreshments will be served.

4.) Last call for the Giving Tree. If you know of anyone in 19135 in need this Holiday Season please forward their info. to portkuv@aol.com.

5.) 12/16- Breakfast with Santa at St.Leo. 11 am

6.) Tacony Winterfest- 12 -3 at the tacony Library on 12/8
